It’s easy to vow not to look at notifications on your phone first thing in the morning. But in reality—especially when your phone is your alarm—it’s what’s there, pulling you out of peaceful slumber and racing toward the realities of your day.
To capture—or recapture—the stillness of that first moment of wakefulness, Austin-based yoga and meditation instructor Kate Waitzkin recorded a ten-minute guided meditation for us. We like to listen while we’re still in bed. But you can play it anytime you’re looking to center yourself in the present and find some clarity and stability.
